Mackenzie Crone is a multidisciplinary designer and art director with a focus on human rights, environment and education.

I have developed design and visual storytelling from concept to production with clients across the arts, non-profit, NGO, government, fashion, tourism, entertainment, and healthcare industries. This extensive experience, and a BFA from Parsons School of Design, have given me a global and systemic outlook in my creative work and collaborations.

I specialize in data visualization, public service campaigns, brand identity, print and book design, digital illustration, art direction and project management.

I approach design management in a non-prescriptive way that is outcome based and prioritizes staff empowerment. I create a positive, low-stress environment, and thrive under encouraging and enthusiastic leadership that remains curious and assumes positive intent.

With a new project or role, I begin as a listener. Reviewing your mission statement and communications goals, I audit current and past creative and speak to all stakeholders, determining prior failings or successes and current potentials. The conclusion of this phase provides foundational clarity needed to bridge the gap between the organizational north star and the present expression. This foundation-building is the fertile soil from which design innovation can thrive, and all work naturally becomes efficient, necessary and impactful.
