2010 was a milestone year for the United Nations in its work, as the year saw the High-level Plenary Meeting on the Millennium Development Goals and the creation of UN-Women. The design of the Yearbook dust jacket is formed from these key events, suggestive of the symbol derived from the UN Women logo, as well as a larger suggestion of the powerful architectural structure behind the Goals and the organization as a whole, and it’s number one driving force, hope.
