CONCEPT The Why Stand Campaign asks; Why should you stand up for those with HIV? "Would you do it?" The campaign is to raise awareness and fight against HIV-stigma in New York City, and targets specifically the African immigrant population in NYC. Each advertisement features a prominent member of the African community, at their favor NYC street block, speaking out against stigma. Ads were featured in the MTA subway, community publications and storefronts.
